GROUP FINANCE EXECUTIVE

At ASI Financial Services, we are seeking a talented MODERN FINANCE PROFESSIONAL who excels in technical financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, risk management and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in financial management and accounting, coupled with strong proficiency in using modern technology and data analytics to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BComm (Accounting) with completed articles
  • CA(SA) certification is advantageous
  • Five years of post-qualification experience in a senior finance role
  • Previous management experience advantageous
  • Proficiency with Sage Accounting is advantageous
  • Experience with Psiber payroll experience is advantageous
  • Advanced Excel skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITY:

  • Financial reporting, including management accounts, audited AFS and consolidations
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Preparation and monitoring of monthly cashflows
  • Communicating any cashflow constraints to management, including driving finance initiatives e.g. annual finance week
  • Commission reconciliations and collections within agreed timelines
  • Turnover/Commission/Profitability tracking
  • Risk management (PI, D&O, Psiber, Commercial Crime, and General Insurance)
  • Supporting the company secretary with CIPC changes and submitting annual returns
  • Supplier management (e.g., office automation, telephony, SLAs)
  • Debtor management and invoicing
  • Creditor and expense management
  • Banking profile maintenance and related company accounts
  • Tax management and optimisation
  • Tender pricing and report writing
  • Transactional banking and investments
  • Procurement management, including POs
  • Payroll and employee onboarding, including ESS and cost of sales calculations
  • Standardising employee benefits and processes
  • Travel and expense reimbursements
  • Business travel management
  • B-BBEE accreditation and expense management, including employment equity tracking
  • Leave and exit management
  • Tax and legal compliance
  • Preparation of group management accounts and consolidated AFS
  • Drafting and implementation of SOPs.

KEY ATTRIBUTES AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in financial principles, accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Technological Proficiency: Knowledge of and experience with financial software, enterprise resource planning (‘ERP’) systems, data analytics tools, and other relevant technologies.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse complex financial data and provide insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Process Optimisation: Skill in streamlining financial processes through automation and technology.
  • Strategic Thinking: Capability to align financial strategies with overall business goals, leveraging technology to drive growth and efficiency.
