JOB PURPOSE

Serve as the main communication channel between business and the development team. Ability to be solution oriented and translate customer needs into scalable applications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Take part in the ideation, planning and prioritisation of new functionality and enhancements with key stakeholders
• Gather and interpret business requirements and translate these into functional specifications, at an appropriate level of detail, and obtain sign off on these specifications
• Develop wireframes, workflow and process flow diagrams
• Proactively communicate with developers to ensure that all requirements are understood
• Liaise with developers to ensure that results are delivered within deadlines and consistent with specifications
• Perform testing to ensure that the deliverables cover all aspects of the business requirements and are free from bugs
• Communicate user queries and bugs to developers
• Updating of system data
• Perform an administrative role on the system
• Develop training materials and conduct user training
• Documentation of existing functionality.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Degree in Information Systems / Software Development / Systems/Data Analysis / IT / Computer Science
• Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience as a business analyst with a proven track record and/or ability
• Business analysis certification (advantageous)
• Experience in mobile application projects (advantageous)
• Experience in the Healthcare / Retirement fund & Group Risk / Short Term Insurance / Life Insurance industry (advantageous)
• Experience in drafting policies (advantageous)
• Experience in UX design (advantageous).
