ASI Financial Services has an exciting opportunity for a HEAD OF MARKETING within our Business Enablement area. ASI is a 100% black owned and proudly South African company. This position will report to a Director that sits on EXCO and will have between 3- 5 people reporting into it.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain an integrated corporate brand, marketing, and communications strategy for all stakeholders.
  • Accountable for all internal and external communications, media, PR, marketing, and events.
  • Deliver quality projects that drive exceptional client experiences – on plan, on budget and on time.
  • Key liaison within all the business units to align on brand value, proposition, and positioning (internal and external).
  • Work with internal and stakeholders to ensure alignment of activities and economies of scale principles are applied where possible.
  • Responsible for the entire marketing budget, spend, recon and optimisation.
  • Conduct ongoing industry and marketing research and development (audience, product, UX, CX and servicing).
  • Direct all service and product campaigns (lead and value generation).
  • Oversee and Design marketing artifacts to deliver effective product information, positioning, and platform management.
  • Report, monitor and analyse marketing and brand activities to show ROMI (lead and value).
  • Data Collection and Analysis – Collate and analyse data.
  • Lead and manage the division in line with the approved policies, applicable laws, legislations, and delegated authority for operational effectiveness.
  • Foster a high-performance corporate culture within marketing that promotes ethical practices and encourages individual and team creativity, integrity, accountability, and social responsibility.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate, and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce, marketing, advertising, communication, or any related field.
  • 7 – 10 years of working experience in agency, advertising, marketing, or brand management.
  • Knowledgeable in general Marketing (both Traditional and Digital) and PR

COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Financial Services experience advantageous
  • Project Management skills
  • Ability to implement practical and comprehensive solutions that have long-term impact to the company
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Stakeholder relationship management
  • Be passionate about and have the necessary skills to integrate with new technologies
  • Must be performance driven with a relentless desire for continual improvement
  • Adhere to company culture of continual improvement and innovation e.g., contribute ideas to improve collective performance
  • Ability to deliver on multiple large-scale projects.
