QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Grade 12
  • Fit and Proper
  • RE5/1 Regulatory Exam
  • NQF5 industry specific qualification or relevant tertiary qualification
  • Minimum 3 year’s experience within the short-term brokerage environment
  • Minimum 3 year’s experience in a sales environment
  • Own vehicle and valid driver’s license

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITY

  • Identify and make contact with prospective corporate and commercial clients
  • Create and execute sales plan according to agreed Targets
  • Provide after-sales service to ensure new business retention
  • Build institutionalised relationships with key clients
  • Write quality new business aligned to sales/marketing plan
  • Cross-selling within existing client base
  • Identify and build relationships with key partners
  • Ensure SLA’s are signed timeously
  • Attention to detail
  • Ensure data integrity on all systems
  • General correspondence and e-mails to clients according to company standards

TECHNICAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Sound knowledge of the brokerage environment
  • Sound knowledge of the Short-term Insurance environment
  • Sound knowledge and Technical Business acumen within the Short-term Insurance environment

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Excellent knowledge of basic CRM procedures
  • Computer literate with excellent understanding of Microsoft Suite
  • Excellent presentation skills (Virtual and in person)
